got the studs in.

so i finally got my truck back today after getting the studs put in along with my 03 turbo. for starters, the turbo sounds amazing. so i left the dealer and drove home which is about 10 miles with no problems(on stock tune). i then go and leave to look at a job (now with the looney tune loaded) and on the highway i started feeling the truck shake. this was just at regular cruising speed maybe 70 tops. i wasnt sure what it was so i pulled over, shut it down and loaded the stock tune back on it. i tried to start it a few times and it would just studder and not run. so i put the tuner back on but to the street tune and after a couple cranks, it started.the truck took forever to start and once it did it was shaking like crazy at idle. when i took off, it blew tons of black smoke but i was able to make it back to the dealer. once at the dealer, i put the stock tune on and it started back up normally but was still shaking at idle and just dont sound right. after a couple starts at the dealer, the check engine light came on and the code was P0000. i checked the dtc list and there isnt a P0000 so im confused. guess ill have to wait and see what the dealer says. anyone have any idea?

the SAME EXACT thing happened to me when i got my truck back from getting the studs done and loaded up dj's tune. did the dealer reflash you? dj kept telling me that it was the a lazy injector..i never figured out what it was, he sent me a new tune and i didnt even bother using it. once i tried eric's tune i never looked back.

its funny you say that cause i double checked my stadegy and it was the same one that i gave dj's. i guess ill see what ford says and if its ok then ill order my tunes from eric which i already planned on doing. i called erice while my truck was in the shop so i could have the tunes as soon as i got the truck back but he advised me to wait till i got it back to make sure they didnt reflash it. guess ill call tomorrow and get new tunes. think my truck is ok then?

I visited a repair shop checking on stud install pricing and they were working on a 6.0 trying to get it to smooth out. It was shuttering and smoke was pouring out the exhaust. I asked them what the problem was and they said they couldn't get all the air out of the fuel lines.

Depending how swamped he is, if you call and give IDP the info in the morning, he sometimes has them to you that night, or the next day if it is during the week.
