Boost gauge install

I am installing a boost gauge and would like to use the "T fitting" method. But I don't know where to insert the T. I have an 04 6.0. Diesel Manor's tech page shows tapping into the intake elbow like you do for the pyrometer. I am not planning on really hot rodding this truck. I don't want to spend a ton of money on studs and head gaskets. So if there is an effective easy way to get this meter going could someone please guide me through it or link me to some instructions. Thanks, Kevin

The intake elbow is the usual place for this. You can drill and tap that for a good source.

I didn't know the T tap was an option on the 6.0L. Pictures/ instructions that I seen were drill tap the elbow on the 6.0 and tap into the T on the 7.3.. I installed mine and it was a peice of cake. Took of elbow tapped it cleaned it out and put everything back together.

tapping the elbow/intake is the best way, the "T" method can rattle or give false readings...............supposedly.....mine is tapped and threaded.
(was already taped when installed, got from another person already tapped)
