tires
When I bought my truck a few weeks ago, I was pleased to see that it had new tires. However, now that I look more closely at them I see that they are Bridgestone Dueler Revo 285/70/17. I looked into these tires, and it appears that they are "C" Load rated tires. Do I need to be concerned about running these on my truck? Should I replace them with "E" tires? I don't tow or haul much on a regular basis. I tow a 6k camper a few times per year, and a 12' landscape trailer from time to time.
Thanks. |

great...looks like I'll have to replace them. I hate to waste brand new tires, but I don't want to blow a tire going down the road either. Any suggestions on brands/models? I'd like to stay stock if possible (even though I know I'm 1 size bigger right now).

Don't *waste* them. Put them up for sale locally.

I had Revo's on my truck when I got it - they were LT265's - load range C. Didnt take long to realize C wasnt going to cut it. Replaced them with Nitto Terra Grappler LT305/70R16 E - never looked back. The nittos are rated 3505 per. Plenty for my overloading.
I hauled my trailer with the Revo's - loaded with construction heaters and fans - the Revo's were squatting so bad - I was nervious on a drive from Pentagon to Gaithersburg. Tried to put air in them but the pump would not budge (gas station) - I liked the Revo's - I wish they had a size I want in E range - but - oh well. Next... |
