High mileage 6.0's

Hey all,
Did some searching with no luck. Am in a discussion on another car website and the guy is saying the the new 6.0s are having way too many problems to be seeing 300,000 miles. The problems he's talking about are the turbos, head gaskets, fuel rails/injectors/pumps etc. Just wondering how many out there have approached 300,000 miles as this is one of the reasons why I bought my '05 F250 KR. Thanks much in advanced.

I've seen 2.3's in rangers go 300k. If that can do it a 6.0L with proper care and feeding certainly can.

Mines only got 40k on it, but I'm sure someone has seen a 6.0 at or near 300k.

That has to be a misprint. I bet it's more like 48k or 148k. And that price is high even if it's 48k.

ive got a 3 6.0 in the shop right now with 317,000 miles on it , had a set of injectors and a fuel pump installed at 173,000 , was towed in as a no start , has a icp sensor circuit code in it , replace icp and that should fix it , this vehicle has had no oher repairs made , when the injectors were replaced was because filters hadnt ever been changed , this truck hasnt been taken care of ad was 2500 miles overdue for an oil change when it was dropped off , so to answer your question, yes they arent as bad as made out to be , in my opinion, alot of the 6.0 problems are self in flicted by driver , cant beat on it day in and day out and not have a problem
