trans built for power?

I got a 04 with a 6.0L added a Bully dog PMT and few other small things trans is starting to slip (bad). looking at getting it rebuilt for the extra HP or looking at a trans from Brians Truck Shop are they really as good as people say? and what are other people doing.

PS. i want to do injectors and a whole lot more so i need a trans to last?

I've heard really good things about BTS, also John Wood. Suncoast also make a good rebuild for the 6.0's. Any which way you choose you should be good to go. If your plans are for bigger injectors and a charger upgrade in the future, do yourself a favor and switch the bully dog to an SCT. You'll need the custom tuning for sure then, and its better on your tranny than the bully dog. I'm making over 400hp with just bolt ons and almost 800 ft lbs of torque. My tranny is stock as can be and has never slipped a bit. That's the best benefit of custom programs IMO.

Just don't race somebody with an SCT running custom tunes, and you'll be ok.

You really need to give the SCT a try. A good custom tune will easily put down 40 more HP than your PMT and is a LOT easier on the trans.

I saw an '05 ford with a bully dog triple dog lay down 375'ish HP on dunbars dyno this summer. Stock exhaust, stock intake, stock everything else. I was actually pretty impressed. HP-wise a lot of boxes make power, its how it gets put to the ground that gets you the speed. That's why I like custom tunes as well.

Buy an Xcal3 from innovative diesel for about $429, comes with 3 custom tunes, and pay the extra $80 for an Xtreme tune of your choice. I run the Xtreme race tune daily, but the Xtreme street is what some people choose as well.
