Hello all-
I've been lurking around the board for awhile and decided to join today. I have been looking at a 2004 F250 CC 4x4 SB with the 6.0l in it. The truck has 80,000 miles on it and is in really good shape. I have test drove it twice now and just can not make up my mind. This would be my first diesel as a daily driver as well as my first Ford. The truck is an xl model so not alot of fancy stuff inside the cab (not even an ashtray, is this normal?) I notice some oil staining on the bell housing between the engine and trans so this has me kinda worried. The local Ford dealer is running the Oasis for me tomorrow ( truck is at a Dodge dealer). I'm wondering what you guys are seeing this type of truck go for the dealer has it listed at $17,500, but has made it clear they are wanting to move it. Any advice is appreciated Victor |

thats a great price for the year and miles. i had 2 7.3's and 2 6.0's and like the 6.0's way better. as far as the oil i think its normal but i could be wrong. im sure someone else can tell ya. i would buy it in a heartbeat at that price if i was in market. good luck to ya.

if the oasis comes back clean id tell him you got 15K take it or leave it. due to the fact that is an XL and it is on a dodge lot. he will most likely take it just to get it off the lot. most dealers hat having competitor trucks on there lot. good luck

Edmunds list the XL model as being worth dealer retail of high 15's. I was kinda worried about that figure as I could not find what all the standard options are on an XL so was going from memory with the look up

IMO I think that's too much for a XL, especially the way the truck market is now

no way in hell I'd pay more than 16,400+++. XL's are not very sought after FYI. I'd start at 16k and work from there to 16,4k and then walk out.

Dude, keep shopping!
I paid $14,000 for an 03 XLT 4x4 CC 6.0 that doesn't have scratch on it! It has 112K on the odo and runs like a raped ape! |
