I searched and couldn't find the post I saw about where to buy head studs at. My local mechanic sells them for $525.

Excellent question! I've spent about 4 hours on this site trying to figure out the exact samething! Why do the prices range so much? I'm seeing any where from $365 + shipping to $568 from arp direct...are there such things as "seconds" or anything like that to worry about when buying the cheaper of the two? My truck is at the dealership right now with a blown oil cooler and after a pressure test one if not both head gaskets are leaking.... I was lucky enough to convince the dealership (warranty work) to allow me to supply ARP studs AND the tech AND service writer are off til tuesday because of the holiday....I need some studs ASAP!
