I have read many threads about this power tube on other sites but need you guys to help me out on this one. Ok as you know MBRP has this 4" tube that they say is supposed to increase exahsaust flow and give you MORE torque. Anyways I saw a video a long time ago on youtube about it and they had dyno sheets to prove it. I just think $180 for just a piece of tube is too much, would it really make a big difference if I put this on my 4" system?

I dont know but I just saw that and was curious myself.
Anyone with one would appreciate if you chime in. Seems like 200 bucks for a piece of pipe is to much for me |

MBRP swears by it and they say it needs to be as close to the downpipe as possible.
![]() I'm skeptical too. |

It moves the torque back down in the RPM range so you "feel" increased TQ down low. If you move to the 3.5" DP you will feel like you "lost" the low end TQ when it's actually higher up in the RPM band.
Look at the inside of the tube, they basically decrease the interior diameter of the pipe with some fancy insert. With my V10 I did something simular after I added some Borla headers, made the low end come right back. |

heck I got a full 4" Downpipe from magnaflow. Guess it was probly overkill....

Running a 5" dp in my opinion is overkill!!!

What is this MBRP power tube? Is it a Down Pipe replacement?

nope it's a pipe that goes in the exhaust to cause a bit of backpressure and bring the hp and tq up. they have a few dyno sheets but they are too small to download. for a 6.0 the increase was about 5-10 hp.
