oder from a/c

i have a bad smell coming from the a/c vents, also seems to be not as cold,do i need a recharge,or is something on it's way out? can't stand the smell it's bad.help thank's

you know it's funny you would say that,i was thinking we have alot of stray cats around here, always under the truck guess i should check, i looked under the hood but i have yet to look under the truck. thanks

hey thanks i read the article i will have to try one of the fixes. i read a thread the other day about a smell from the a/c but i did a search and could not find it ,maybe the lysol will work, it's been in the high 90's hear and my a/c smells like a dead animal.

Does the smell occur all the time or after you run it hard or when you are towing a load?

all of the time seems worse when idleing.the smell came out of know where, one day it worked next day yuck! truck temp. is fine i hosed out the radiator the best i could but not much change,first i thought i had a varment stuck some where but the article on the evap.tell's me i'm not the only one.

The smell in my truck smells like stale pee when you are towing a trailer and the egt's get into the 850-900 degree range. I lose water also.
