'06 F350 6.0 King Ranch

I am looking at the above truck and can probably pick it up for $28000. It has 24000 miles on it. It is DRW, 2 wheel drive. What does everyone think of this price and if I should beware of the 6.0 engine?

I love the 4WD but this one would be for pulling a bigger fifth wheel camper. I wouldn't need 4WD, I hope. You believe the problems are less on the '06's though?

My 06 KR just turned 81k miles. Been trouble free since I got it last year, oasis didn't show much of anything done before that. Got mine from a farmer, and it had always been stock. For comparison, I got it last fall for $31k, with 60k miles on it, though it does have 4x4. And that was considered real cheap at the time.

What makes yours attractive is that it's never had a tuner, neither has mine. That seems to be the start of problems on the newer 6.0's.

If the Oasis is clean then I say go for it. Just don't expect to see great MPG while towing with it.

The 6.0s are tainted by the problems the earlier 2003 models had. I have had over my truck chipped for over 40K miles of the 67K that are on it and have had no issues do to it being chipped. The only problem mine has had was the Hpop took a dump on me and took three injectors and the fuel pump with it, but that was all covered under warranty.

Don't be afraid of the 6.0s. If they are taken care of they will take care of you, just the same as every other engine out there.
