Oil: 5w40 vs 15w40?
Right now I have Rotella T synthetic 5w40 and I just saw that advance has Valvoline Premium Blue syntheic 15w40 on sale for $8.88 per gallon, so I was considering using that for my oil change coming up.
What are everyone's thoughts on viscosity? I'm in western ny, where the winters can get cold.

You will be fine either way with a synthetic. The cold flow properties are excellent.

I don't think the $8/gal premium blue is synthetic, is it? That would be a heck of a deal...

yeah i'm pretty sure its the full synthetic... i'll double check. That's a lot cheaper than $18 for the rotella t full syn

hmm... Well either way I need to do an oil change haha since my fumoto valve just came in

premium blue vs. premium blue extreme
Premium Blue 15w40 is dino and Premium Blue Extreme 5w40 is synthetic.
