30,000 mile trans. service what do you do torqshift

Where do you guys get get your filters and fluid. Is there a link on what to do. I guess I drop my pan drain the fluid and change 2 filters how much fluid do I add back. any help would be appreciated.

whoa! you dont drop the pan. The filter in your tranny is a lifetime filter. It is best and easiest to get flushed and filled at ford. I was going to do mine. To much time and effort to save like $30.

How much are the filters and how much is that mercon sp a quart.

The internal screen is recommended to be changed at 60,000 mles.

My Ford transmission flush (at 30,000) cost $75 more than if I just drained and refilled myself.

I get Mercon SP at a discount at my Ford dealership (we have done business w/ them for many years). I pay $4.50 / quart. I get the external filter for about $35 from them also. You can get the external filter from Dieselfiltersonline (sometimes they run specials) for about $12 I believe (certainly no more than $18 regular price). I believe Dieselfiltersonline also sells Mercon SP for $5.20 a quart.
