VIN to Egine Serial number matching

Hello everyone.....
I have a general question that I hope someone can help me with.
We have a 2005 F550 half cab chassis that I need to match the frame (VIN) with the engine serial number to make sure that all the paperwork is straight for this particular chassis.
Any assistance to obtain this information will be extremely welcome.

* UPDATE: The reason for this request is that I want to confirm my engine block that a dealership had taken apart and wants to charge a rather large amount to "rebuild" the 6.0 that had gone in for the dreaded and infamous "stall" while being driven. To top it off this Ford dealership failed to inform us in writing that the warrantee had expired. BTW the truck was in this dealershp since October 2007, and still there with the motor torn down.
So I hope someone can direct me to obtain the information I need to connect the engine block to the VIN of our truck.
