Powerslot Cryos & Hawk LTS installed
Got the new brakes installed. I used a write-up from another diesel forum to walk me through the entire job this weekend. I used Powerslot Cryo rotors and Hawk LTS pads as well. I went through the initial break-in as described and am now onto the 200-500 mile tempering process which I now have about 85 miles on the brakes. The brakes really shine the harder you work them.

Do you feel like they have to warm up? I notice that mine brake much better when warm...I mean they really slam to a stop. They're great.

Yes, I think they need warmed up, when they're warm they feel like they can stop a train.

Did u also upgrade the calipers? or are they stock? I am really wanting to upgrade my brakes since I went to the 37's

I doubt he upgraded calipers. not necessary unless there is something wrong with them I would guess.

k, just knew they had some out there with larger/more pistons, etc
was hoping didn't need to go that route. Those can get nasty expensive, just rotors and pads though would be sweet. |
