Should the Cat go?
ive been pondering of removing the cat , question is will it throw any codes up
,check engine lights etc? i understand egr and cat ruins relabilty on the 6.0, i have an mbrp cat back exhaust but im not touching the egr cause of warranty ,if i ditch the cat im gonna save it and throw it back on for any warranty issues though. |

It did not cause mine to throw codes or lights.

no lights, no codes and sounds great

No codes with mine removed. Ditching the EGR will do more good for the motor. If you are concerned about the warranty then just stay stock.

well i have an 07 with 30k miles if engine fries before 100k then im beat. after 100k im gonna ditch the egr and also add a bypass oil filter. i'd just figure i'd start by removing the kitty and help pass the black stuff to the mbrp muffler. dam the government.

No point in taking it off. It makes little difference. I had mine off, but put it back on hoping to quiet the exhaust down. Not a big difference between it being on or off. So, just leave it.

it wouldnt be for performance , but for longevity/reliability terms...

just leave it? what? the cat shouldnt have been there in the first place. I took mine off after a few days of owning it.
