backpressure on 6.0
just something that i noticed about my truck. when the arp studs were done last week i had a 4" down pipe installed. the tech left the exhaust piece out right after the down pipe so i could go to the exhaust shop to get that and other work done. the truck sounded absolutely insane, turbo screaming (could hear it half a mile away). i asked the tech if it would hurt anything. he said no. well it did not, however my boost was slower to build and would not go above 25 to 30, even though it sounded like a 747 and top fuel dragster at the same time. got the exhaust put back together yesterday and boost pegs past 35 on my guage and holds, just like it did before and power is incredible again. sorry for the long post, but my guess would be that the 6.0 not only needs backpressure, but that it needs the EXACT amount of backpressure.

There was like a 10page thread on this. In the end. Don't worry about it and don't lose sleep over it. Enjoy your 03 whistle and move on.
