Sometimes things happen that make people think that way, for example...... I had taken my car in to get some issues taken care of before my bumper to bumper warr. expired. They looked at the car and said i would have to make an app. at a later date, i called and they kept blowing me off so i took it to another dealership in a town i used to live in. That dealership said my warr. had ran out the week before and it also showed that my car had been fixed and that other dealership had been paid. So you can see why some people get mad, right?

nvrdun- did you report that? That's fraud no matter which way you look at it. As for the dealerships... I did 2yrs of tech school and took my ASE's. What I can't stand is how people find ALL dealers expensive. HOW? Just b/c mentality. I've had better service, on better equipment at CHEAPER prices at my local ford dealer than any other tire joint in town. Those corner tire places are a RIP!! I had sears quote me $1,200 for a set of OEM AT/S's when I had them put on last week for like $650 or something and had them force balanced at the local Quick Lane. Nobody can beat my local dealers prices on tires, alignments and such. and they have techs, not bums. Not all dealers are equal either. I use one to buy fords and another to fix them. I think the best thing to do as a customer is shop around, do your homework and if you don't like a place... try another. and test them with small items first. I don't buy into or contribute to ragging on dealers. They sell new OEM parts, not China Reman parts like Autozone. So do your own Homework is my point and understand what you are comparing. You couldn't pay me to run a K&N type filter on my truck. And yes K&N filters SUCK.... dirt and all into your intake. I've run them on multiple vehicles and after I blew like 3 MAF's toyota dealer Clued me in!! Didn't believe them... but he was right. After taking a few engines (upper ends) apart before and after the K&N. Never again will I touch a Foam filter. OEM paper type for me. Last edited by JBakerFX4 : 07-03-2008 at 04:46 PM. |
