Possible Van purchase questions

Ok I'm looking at buying "2006 Ford E-350 Passenger Van XLT Diesel" it has 80k miles. i'll get the oasis report ran. I have questions though. anyone have a diesel van? any problems inherent to the van only? What rearend will it most likely have. I'm thinking lower gearing due to being the 1Ton? i'll be using it for the highway and tow a fairly light trailer maybe 2-3k lbs. We tow 4 dirt bikes a lot. more than 10k per yer plus regular commuting.
