hot antifreeze smell???

Ok guys every time I pull my 6k trailer for more than about 10 miles, I seem to smell a burning antifreeze smell. Anybody have any idea what that could be?? And what I should do about it?? 05 F250 6.0... Thanks alot..

Take a look around the coolant degas bottle under the hood, Sounds like the truck may be puking coolant under load. If thats it get a new cap and see if it does it again

Has to do with your Exhaust Gas Recirculation system. There's plenty of literature on the subject, read up.

It sounds like you have a bad EGR cooler and it needs replacing. I have blown up a few of those while towing stock... You should take your truck to the dealership and have it replaced.

Make sure the Engine Oil Cooler gets replaced as well if they replace the EGR Cooler. If it only does it under towing load, you probably have bad headgaskets
