Pictures of a Powerstroke Shortblock Replacement

This is a full blown short block replacement on a 6.0L. Me and Larry got to take part/witness it. We have never seen it up close so hopefully these pictures do it justice for anyone else. Its off an 06.

There is like 63 pictures and two videos and I'm to lazy to embed all the urls so, here is the link: Putfile | sciulli's Photo Album - 6.0L Mayhem

Videos are on my media section:

Of particular intrest this is a special picture for the powerstroke.org folks:

CHenry,

You already see the best picture in the album! Its me porking the front of a 6.0L PSD!

The other nice shot of me is when I was setting the turbo on the ped.

Justin just purchased a nice new SLR looking camera and he took quite a few nice pictures from the point that the short block had the accessories moved to the front and all the way to getting the turbo and valve covers and wireing harnes all plugged in.

This was at one of our local Ford dealerships. The mech had hurt his back and called me to help him set the heads and set the turbo since he was hurting. I invited Justin to come along and have a look-see at the mighty 6.0L in parts and pieces.

This is an 06 truck with under 20K miles on it that had 2 dead holes. Ford wont pay the technician to trouble shoot past this, so it was a yank out and replace.

Larry

I realize I am a couple of years late, too bad those links dont work anymore! Hard to find many pictures or videos of a 6.0 teardown.
