Reverse sensors with aftermarket HU
Will OEM reverse sensors still work if the factory 6 disk cd player is removed. If not is there a way to make them work? Looking to install Navi. Thanks.

I am not 100% sure about the 6.0s but I did this in my 08 6.4 and had no problem.

Thanks for the reply. I was wondering was it Factory Navi you installed with no problem or aftermarket?

I put a Pioneer Avic Z2 in. At least in the 08s the reverse sensors are not in any way tied to the stereo. The tones come from a separate little speaker.
I can look at a buddies 07 tomorrow night if nobody else comes back with a more definite answer. |

Does anyone have an '05 that they could check to see if there is a seperate speaker for the reverse sensor beep? My wifes has a freestyle and it sounds like hers comes through the radio speakers. Thanks.

Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with my friend.
I just had a thought though. What about removing the radio fuse and seeing if the sensors still work? (probably lose radio settings) |

RDKL, that is no problem at all I appreciate you getting back. That is a fantastic idea about the fuse. I will try that shortly and let you know.
