Choosing My Truck...

Alright guys...

I’ve asked a few questions here as a newbie and have gotten some great help. Now I need some more…

I’ve got two trucks that I’m trying to decide between buying next week.

The first… 05’ King Ranch F350, SRW, Crew Cab, Long Bed, White with Tan and 76K. It’s absolutely loaded – heated seats, sunroof, etc.

The other… 06’ XLT F350, SRW, Crew Cab, Long Bed, Silver with 56K. It too, is really well equipped. Sunroof, power rear window, heated mirrors, and leather. However, it has a vinyl rear bench seat. I thought this was a little odd, but after thinking about it, I actually like it. I’ve got two labs. They ride wherever I go. They vinyl has always held up well and I’m not excited about buying a seat cover to protect the leather.

The 06 is about $2500 more than the 05 King Ranch. I know it has less miles, and is a year newer, but I’m wondering if I’m being a dumb a$$ for considering passing on the King Ranch. The other part is that I ABSOLUTELY HATE the guy I’ve been talking to about the silver 06. He’s a smart-mouth that interrupts me just about every sentence. I’ve decided that if I go with the silver 06, I’m going to tell the manager that I’m going to buy that truck as long as ANYONE other than John P&^##^%$ is my salesman.

What I’m wondering is: What values do you all place on things like, age, mileage, trim levels? Is the 05 King Ranch with 76K the way to go? Or should I go with less miles, and, “stuff.” I think I actually feel more comfortable in the slightly plainer, silver truck. I know this may be a bit of a silly question to ask on an internet forum, but at least I’m not asking for marriage advice or anything… Just looking for a little insight.

Thanks in advance…

Kevin

It's a tough call

I'd have to say go with which ever truck you "feel" more. Years and mileage are close enough I wouldn't worry about it. Now trim level,.... hmmmmm, I don't know. I've never worried to much about the "little stuff", as long as both had power win., power locks and leather, I'd put them in the same class, that's me though.

The vinyl rear seat might have been a selling point to me, I got a dog that goes everywhere too.

I don't know bud, I guess I didn't help much , Good luck though!!
