What to do with my now idle PSD?

I originally bought my truck to tow race cars, so I made sure what I bought was great for towing. It's been great for what I needed. However, due to life changing events, I can't race anymore. Now I have a fine 6.0 I own outright, sitting around being used as a commuter. I could sell it, but why bother? It's a great truck, I can use it as a truck, and anything else is going to seem weak in comparison.

I've thought about renting it out to car towing companies I see on ebay and autotrader and such. I've thought about starting up a towing company myself. I see 1-800-Junk-removal (or whatever it's called) using pickups to haul stuff around. Even if I have to hire a driver to be the towing guy, sounds worth it. I have the truck, trailer, and experience in towing expensive cars without a scratch.

I'd like to put my truck to work and see if I can't make some money on the side. Anyone have experience with doing this?

My insurance, 1 truck, 1 trailer, for hauling exotic, luxury and collector cars is almost $9,000 a year, to do what you thinking part time is not even worth it.

Drive it or sell it, leasing it to someone may be good but it will be more hassel than it is worth.

I wasn't thinking of doing it part-time. I was thinking of starting a full-time hauling business, using my truck as the first vehicle. I've been seeing insurance quotes for $3-5k/year for being a single car hauler in a closed trailer.

For now, I drive it.
