HELP Sluggish Going Uphills F350

I have a 2005 F350 Powerstroke that struggles going up hills sometimes and makes almost a tranny like noise or like it's not getting fuel only going uphills sometimes not all the time????? Would appreciate your help.

Fuel Filters? I know when excavators and loaders bogg down, a lot of time the fuel filters are jammed up. I also read a lot of posts in regard to babying the fuel systems on 6.0's. I may be totally off base, I'm just taking a stab in the dark.
