Swap auto with manual tranny

I need some input on a brainstorm i had in my '03 stroker.. 6.0 I know its just a matter of time till my tranny goes out was thinkin of swappin out with a manual when it goes anyone have any suggestions or ideas?? by the way 175,000 miles and original transmission!!!!! only a starter and few injectors so far

I have done it on a couple of older trucks. Best way is to find a Donar truck (wrecked) and take all the parts off of it and put them on yours it takes time but it is doable and everything should unbolt and bolt up. You will have to cutt a whole in the floor. THe last thing I will say is that it is a lot of labor but with time you can do it.
