When did the 6.0 come out?

When did the 6.0 come out. My truck is a april 03 build and i see people saying they have an 03 with the 7.3. I have also seen people with a Janurary build 03 with the 6.0. Then i had a chevy guy argueing with me saturday saying that the 6.0 came out in the summer of 02. Im just trying to figure out when it came out and if my truck is part of the first ones.

I'm not sure what the correct answer is, but the build date of my truck is September 02 and it is listed as an 03 Model. It has the 7.3L. Hope this helps!
