The stick is more rare. Only about 10% of the SuperDuty's are manual trans. It is preference. The autos are good. My pref is stick.

I bet the stick is strong with a good clutch. but then again a built auto is awesome too. some days i wish i had stick others im glad i dont.. i need two trucks!

exactly what i think. i gotta buy another 7.3 with a 6 speed i think it would be awesome, but the automatic just seemed more realistic for me when i got my truck, i hardly tow anything and i was gettin sick of shifting my old f350 with a 460 lol

built auto for racing...manual for EVERYTHING else.....even though I was told that I shift like a machine when I race...lol
I had to special order my 2005 with a 6-speed, and I had to add a SouthBend DD clutch,...to hold the power...lol

Auto is best if you wanna race and/or don't tow any heavy loads...
Stick wins pulling bigger loads |

I like my auto better becaust it is faster but the manual i had in my 97 250 ran on the factory clutch to 165000 miles with lots of towing. I dont expect to get that out of my auto.

well this truck will be a daily driver with towing in the summer, i'd also look for power upgrades, it just seems like everyone has the auto, but i've always liked the idea of a stick diesel, how is the stick to drive in town or in heavy traffic?

I like it in traffic...I just put it in LOW,...and push them all out of the way.....lololololol

I like the stick better then the auto, the auto is more maintenance and more costly to rebiuld then the manual. Driving around town is a blast also but it is only my opinion.
