03 turbo?

hey guys what is the chances that my truck has the 03 turbo. it has a build date of 12-20-03?

could be! i'm sure someone could nail the question down, but from the likes of it... I know my truck was built in early 5.20.05 and it's an 06- so. It's possible your motor could be blessed with the holy snail

none. 9/22/03 was the change from 03 to 04 motors. You might have an 03 if somebody changed the turbo and pedastal, but not from brand new. Granny truck had a 10/03 production date and it was an 04 turbo.

You would know if it was an 03 turbo they are just so loud with the whistle. I have a 03 and the whistle compared to other fords I've been in. Well let's just say you would know

I got a 03' 6.0 built in april striaght piped and whistles like crazy ... Love It

thanks guys. im thinking i would like to get one of those. does someone make that o3 wheel to where i could change it and not have to get the whole turbo?

this is something us 6.0 guys were talking about one day. For some reason, you can change out a 7.3 wheel (i.e.- the Wicked Wheel) but with the 6.0, the whole turbo comes out and is replaced. So it's a bit odd. At this moment, the best solution for the 03 turbo seeker is ebay or local papers. Some people have gotten KILLER deals on these units through those outlets
