New to the 6.0

Ok im a complete mustang fan and this will be my first diesel truck. Im looking into getting a 04 6.0 with 4 inch exhaust and diablo tuner. I will drive the truck every day and tow my race car to the track on the weekends.

My question is what will this truck get MPG? I do a lot of driving every day about 60 miles but its almost all highway. The reason im looking into a duty is b/c my lightning gets such bad MPG when towing. I know the duty will do better towing but i was wondering how it will do as my every day truck. I dont want to devote my pay check to fuel.

or should i just keep the lightning?

Thanks, hope you can help me out.

If ya do get the 6.0 ditch the diablo and order a sct and make sure ya get gauges. I usually get around 17 mpg with my truck unloaded in the summer, but that was stock, with a tuner and a light foot you should get better.

I've got an 07'. I can get 18-19 MPG if I'm easy on her. That's mostly hwy, city driving kills it for me, mostly because of how I drive in town .

I'm not making any promises for the 04' you're lookin' at, just tellin' ya what I get, hope it helps

I hope you don't run the diablo to long or else you'll blow your head gaskets. Even the local guy that sells diablo stuff told me this. Get a SCT
