Real world price of 05 F250 (Considering fuel prices)

What is all your opinions on the value of a 04-05-06 F250/350 in good condition, w/ under 50,000 on th O, and 6" lift, and a couple motor mods and nice wheels??? I am in California and they are a dime a dozen, I am interested but I am wondering with the 6.0 liter reputation and the rising cost of diesel how much should I be paying??? they are all around $30,000 I would say MAYBE 25-27,000 max. Am I way off or what?? Maybe I will just keep my 01 z71 and enjoy 3.30 a gallon and a true 18MPGs!!! Thanks allot in advance. KO

i had a 05 f150 gas hog, i will never own a gas truck again, dont matter how much fuel costs, it was $30,000 for an bone stock 05 psd in fl. the power difference is priceless compared to gas. and gotta love the black smoke!

well once you go to Diesel you prob wont go back, your estimate about 27K or so sounds very fair. but you can find them cheaper sometimes, just be ready to purchase it when ready (financing pre arranged).

you might be able to find one for that price but i dought it and if you do get diesel the power is way better and get more like 20mpg at least 18 even around town if you drive nicely and only rod it sometimes

If there are a bunch for sale, it's a buyer's market. Offer them a low price and see if they bite. It doesn't sound like you're in a big hurry to buy one so I'd just play that game for a while until you find a perfect one that someone is looking to get rid of

Fuel pricing really should not factor in, you will have to buy fuel no matter what you may purchase.

It really depends on what you are going to do with the truck or like me, just love diesels.

As for reliability, I have had a couple of problems but I still love this truck - it is awesome!
