What is this black tube?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. What is this black tube in the back of my truck?

That is the auxilliary turbine exhaust! He He!!
The hole allows entry of the jack extension to lower your spare wheel. The smaller hole to the left of the number plate allows entry.

Correct..and if it is like mine, make sure you have the lock adapter on the end of the rod in order to crank down your spare. I forgot about it, and for the life of me I couldnt get the darn thing down!

Thank you. I'm sure it's in the owners manual, but my truck didn't come with one.

Hopefully yours came with the lock. Mine didn't and I had to cut the piece that holds the spare tire just to get it down. I'm sure I could have got a lock from the local ford dealer, but I'm not paying them for something that should have come with my truck when I bought it.

Phew! Glad to know I wasn't the only one!!

Luckily for me...I was taking it out to reduce wait for the track, not to fix a flat.

WHAT IS DIFFICULT IS ALL THE KEYS TO THE SPARE TIRE WINCH ARE DIFF SO YOU HAVE TO GO TO A DEALER WITH A MASTER KIT AND THEY WOULD HAVE TO GET IT FOR YOU, OR JUST KNOCK THE CYLINDER OUT WE DO THAT ALOT.
