Well I tried...

I was told by the dealer today that my warranty is void because of my exhaust and air intake....I am pretty mad about that. I just got an SCT too, that I haven't put in yet and now I am probably going to sell it and return the truck to stock until warrenty is up. GRRRRRR!!!!

I am sure I will get a mix of thoughts...but keep em coming.

Do you have the number to call your warranty company?

The warranty company? I just thought it was the dealership that had the power to tell you if you lost it or not...the guy was very arrogant, said (in an arrogant/yelling tone) "there is no need to do anything to that truck, just make sure you change the oil ( I was thinking to myself no sh!t sherlock) and because I have changed from factory they will not cover warrenty...also, he can't wait till I need work on my truck so he can charge me...I was pissed...so I said it shouldn't matter if im paying you the warranty company is...you still get paid!

Sorry just venting a little.

As always any help would be greatly appreciated....

Also, im not trying to bash dealerships...I just bought mine from a bad one I guess.

Thanks

just because you buy the truck from one dealer doesn't mean you have to take it to them for work. You can take it to any ford dealer to have work done to your truck. I would try a different one if I were you.

They are feeding you a line...they have to prove that the mods caused the problems before denying you warranty..I had simalar problem with one dealership...called ford and they had my truck delivered to another dealership for free..and it was just over the chrome pelling off the f250 badges...

Yup, go to another dealer. Some will work with ya, some won't. Took me two dealers.

should I call and ask if they accept my truck the way it is, or just bring it in (if needed for work) and dont say anything.

Sorry just want to do it right.

so you drove in there, showed them or told them you have exhaust and an air intake and the service manager or writer said, "sorry but we are going to go into the computer right now and notify ford to void your warranty"? Sorry, this isn't making sense to me and I'm trying to make sense of it.

Chances are the guy is trying to get you say something you shouldn't. Like before, they have to prove the mod caused the problem. Example, if your power seat broke how would an intake and exhaust cause that?
