I am thinking hard about getting the AE but am not sure if it worth it for the little bit that i do.
is AE capable of changing any of the parameters? can it be ussed to recal speedo for tire size? will it change the speed limiter? what is its limits and capabilities?

It's more of a diagnosis tool then anything else. Best part is you can REALLY troubleshoot on your own with it!

Purchased mine from ITP Diesel last week. Haven't had time to hook up to anything yet. It appears from reading the manual it has features that most much more expensive scanners don't have. The base unit will read almost any post 96 vehicle and the enhancements add ABS, tranny, SRS things like that. Most cheap code readers won't access those codes. Around here 5 trips to the shop for a code read is about $300.00. I'll be using the wifes explorer as a guinea pig this weekend. I can let you know more then

It is a diagnostic tool not a programmer. You cannot change any parameters in the PCM with AE. It pulls DTCs, does on-board testing and can monitor a lot of different parameters that you didn't even know your vehicle kept track of.

Yes it is worth every penny that I paid for it!

so my biggest debate...
get Ford enhanced only or domestic enhanced?
I only own Ford but its only a couple hundred more for the domestic and well you never know when you might need it

you'll make alot of friends with the whole package. May get the wifes panties bunched up when the drive is full all the time. I opted for the pro package because not all my friends are true to the oval.

I have a BIG driveway. hard to fill it up. I don't think 'i need th pro but I do have a lot of friends with bowtie and tinfoil trucks.
