Factory Exhaust - Catalytic Converters?
Do the 6.0L's actually have a true Catalytic Converter like a gasser? I know many thought the ISB 24V Dodges had one...but it was actually an exhaust resonator to dampen the "bark".
If it is a true catalytic converter...how does it work on a diesel? Gassers and Diesels don't produce the same byproducts. Plus with soot...how in the world would a cat-con ever last? Just the slightest bit of richness in a gasser can ruin the converter. |

They are called particulate filters and I can't remember all the science behind it right now.

Aren't the particulate filters on 07.5 and up? Diesel particulate filters = DPF for the 6.4's.
If the 6.0's had any type of particulate filters...they'd be clogged in a day and rendered useless with no burnoff. |
