SCT programmer
Just got a SCT programmer with the 3 preloaded programs in it. Does any know what the gains are for each program? And I see alot of guys with SCT scanners running DJ's Lonney Tunes, what info do you have on this program, and where can I get it? Thanks.

DJ's Performance
Not sure on hard numbers, and I know the same tune will give different gains on different trucks, just depends what your truck likes. |
|
|||
|
It depends on who wrote the tunes to tell how much power they have all tuners write different tunes.

talked to SCT today. They said that the performance tune on the X3 should be around 120 RWHP. How much more can I run SAFELY. And then what do I need to change first, head studs is what I'm seeing alot of.

Dj's Looney is estimated at 130 to 160 RWHP.

Now that I have the SCT X3, can I send it off to DJ or Innovative and have it rewritten?

they dont rewrite it, you have to get your strategy from your truck, send them the code, they write a tune and email the tunes back to you, then you load them Via live load on to the tuner and then load them to your truck. if you didnt buy the tunre from them then there will be a charge for the tunes.

Cool, I'm going to take it to the track with this program first and see where it's at. After that probably do some "SAFE" changes

call DJ or anyother tuner up tell them what you want and dont want and thy will write the file for you thats the best part of custom tunes

Everybody has a different view on what's safe. In my opinion headstuds are a must for any extreme tuning. That being said, you will be much happier with custom tunes than just the generic pre-loaded ones.
