what to expect?

the local drag strip opens soon(ok 14 days not like I'm counting). and its going to be the first time I've gone down the track. what should i expect speed and time wise? i plan on doing 4-hi launches should i turn off 4wd half way or leave it on? any helpful tips or hints will help.

I think you're supposed to leave it on until the end of your run. I've never done one but I'm subscribing so I can find out. I'm gonna try and hit the track soon also.
