whats your opinion on this

I am considering buying an '03 f-350 4x4 with the 6.0. not a dually but it is a regular cab long bed with 130,000 miles on the clock, the dealer is asking $16,600. my question is should i stay away from the 6.0 and is this a fair asking price? I need this to be a reliable truck and not something thats going to cost more for upkeep than the payment will be.

Fisrt off . I would get an oasis report on it. It will tell you what if any work has been done on it. Some ?'s. Is it a XLT or Lariat, 4wheel drive, manual or automatic. Is it realy what you want? I Have an 04 and I love it. I do not have a problem telling you that it is more than likely a good truck but that is just my opion. So it is probably worth nothing (my opion).

With the miles it would have to be dang nice to bring 16,600!
If it is a nice truck, check into an oasis report to see if anything major has been done.

An oasis is a report from fomoco's computer about a Ford vehicles repair and maintance history.
We do them here at the org for premuim members or if you know somebody at a dealership they may get you one, or if the truck is at a Ford dealer tell them you want to see the oasis.

I got my 03 with the 6.0 last year and have had no real problems. Had to get a new flash on the computer to resolve a small problems. I really like it. Almost 100K miles now.

If it's got 130k on it, I doubt it was in the shop very often. My thinkin is the more miles on her the more it shows you how much they cared for the truck.
