10w30...... do not use 15 40 in a 6.0 ltr... it will blow your turbo and cause injector problems.

didnt think they made a diesel 10w30 oil thought it was 15w40 or 5w40 syntheic

Can't say I exactly agree with this. I've run 15w-40 for years without incident. To each his own I guess.

It gets cold in WI right? lol, Id go with 5w/40, good on cold start ups and holds thickness when hot.

consult the people at ford. It really depends on where you live and what you use your truck for. right? Hot weather, lots of towing ya for sure 5 40. my truck really runs best at 10 30. i just ran the 5 40 for the last 2 changes and it was ok but better with the 10 30..... that being said i do run my truck all day everyday, in the Canadian cold and watch every mpg closely and listen to my engine. my wife calls me nuts but it runs better and starts easier.
Ams oil is the way to go. if you can add the fass system. i want one for my next addition to my 6.0 psd

Don't use 15-40? that is the one which my manual recommends; '07

If you go Amsoil don't forget to join the preferred customer program makes the stuff very attractively priced.
