computer reprogram

I took my 2006 F250 in to the dealer to get the speedo recalibrated after installing larger tires. When I got it back the injector pump runs for 30 seconds after shutting off the engine. I called the dealer and they said they always update the computer to the latest program when they work on a truck and thay this was done to purge the injectors. Anyone else been reprogramed to Purge ? and is this a good thing?

I have heard that was one of the older programs and the newest ones dont run the injectors after shutdown anymore? Maybe a tech will chime in soon! Oh, and WELCOME TO THE .ORG!!

that dealer is very out of date. take it back and say "well since you insist on flashing everyone's truck that doesn't ask for it, at least flash mine with the newest inductive heating ficm strategy." Dumb dealers are definitely my pet peeve.
