Question about Superchip.

A friend of mine recently bought an '08 PS, and he gave me his Superchip programmer. On the box it says up to '05, mine is an '06. Yes I know it states that the application is not for my year of truck, but does anyone know if it'll work? Is the plug different. the computer different, etc...The only real mod is the K&N intake and I wouldn't consider a programmer till I upgrade the exhaust, which I'm trying to find.
Any thoughts???

I dont know about your years, but I have an 03 and my programmer says it is for an 04 and it seems to work just fine. It came with my truck, but I dont use it anymore, I am waiting to get the money up for an sct livewire

Alright, I just grabbed the box and it says Part #1704-A (Max Micro Tuner); and it covers '04-'05.

If its the superchip flashpaq then i can vouch for both.. i ran the superchip for 16000 miles and liked it alot... good mileage and the truck ran fairly strong... but the sct livewire or xcal is just that much better... i now run the xcal for the last 25000 miles ,,,, its more aggressive (if you want it to be) and similar milage as well...
P.S. if its the flashpaq then it shoul support 99-07

as for the exaust PM Gus (farmboydiesel) he has good deals and i havn't heard any complaints. Im gettin 4" turbo back from him for a good price.

It should be the 1805, It will work on your truck unless it is still vin locked, if so contact superchips and they should be able help you. Will also need the USB cable. Personally I really like the 1805 flashpac, the three tune suit me just fine.

I would call Superchips and ask them before you mess up your truck. I also have an '06 and bought an older Superchips Max Micro Tuner (pre-Flashpaq) from an .org member. It is Model #1706 specifically for the '06. I would be careful using the 1704 on a 2006.
