Casrol 10-40 synth

Anyone here running Castrol 10-40 synthetic in thier trucks. I just changed to in tonight. I haven't driven anywhere yet but tomorrow I shall put a couple hundred miles on it.

I am thinking of using Amsoil in the future. But just don't like teir "Amway" marketing. But i am thinking of putting in one of thier oil by pass systems on my truck. or should i get a diffrent system?

I've been running Castrol Hypuron Semi-Synthetic for a year now. I change at 5K and oil still looks pretty good. I just signed up for Amsoil Dealership and looking to purchase dual
by-pass filter also. They have a good reputation but I am still leary on running oil that long in a diesel. Definately looking into oil samples in near future!

I'm using amsoil 15-40, 10K mi oil changes bypass filter is on shelf, not on truck yet.

Ben using Amsoil for 25 yrs in marine diesels currently Cummins NTA-855M and Izizu 4bd1 (235ci), got 45K and 47K, 1000 hr oil changes no bypass, both engines we're like new till 35K hrs. Now the Cummins burns 1gl of oil per 120hr of operation, the Izusi 1/2 gl per week . Had valve covers off both engines recently, looks absulutly clean. this oil realy keeps engines clean. Amsoil is the only oil for me.
