Boost question
hello all
Well I after a long wait , I ordered me a gauge set from diesel manor and me and a buddy installed it all. Man talk about a easy task , everything works great the guages look great nice to see boost , egt and transtemp. Now my truck is a 04 with a 03 engine , 3.5 inch down pipe 4" all the way back duels no cat or muffler with six inch tips. zoo-dadd mod , no tuner and a accu-fab intake elbow with the boost port drilled on the side , I wanted to keep the factory intake just incase I need to bring it in. now some of you guys might no believe this but here it goes , when I hammer down this truck hauls azz and shows 35psi of boost is correct are is something wrong .I tried to take a picture it but it keep coming out blurred . just want to know if this is normal .are if something is wrong or if this big white f-250 is just a freak, |

wow wonder if your turbo is getting ready to go!! some will build no boost and some will build so much it blows the intercooler up before it trashs the turbo. or you might just need a gauge idk

I can easily boost 35-40 psi
Dj said it normal for the 03 motors to boost more than the other year models, but it still scares me!

I can peg my 35 psi gauge either towing the trailer on a tow tune or on a race tune driving around playing with ricers. Have not had a stock tune in for a while so dont remember what the stock psi was.
I usually try and keep the psi to 30 and down towing though. |
