Anyone know the max horsepower you can squeeze out of the stock injectors or what their max power rating is?

I know upwards of 435-440rwhp on stock injectors/turbo on fuel only has been achieved with a hot tune. I doubt you will see any higher without more fuel and/or air.

Unmodified stock ones have recorded 441 on the dyno w/ the SCT Xcal as a max IIRC. It was a really hot tune and I'd say 425-435 is more common, but hey that's up there.

I agree with the provided figures. It's amazing how much you can get from stock 6.0 injectors compared to what size injectors you need to make the same power with a 7.3. Even more amazing is what the 6.4 fuel system is capable of. I think there is still a lot of potential in those engines.

Oh yes, both the 6.0 and the 6.4 have lots of potential left. The 6.0 fueling issue (limiting factor) is presently being solved by a couple of companies w/ optimized single or dual HPOP's as well as solving some of the other weak links that make themselves know at higher HP levels.
![]() The 6.4 work has really just begun and the platform being built upon is strong, although a little complicated w/ the new emmissions stuff to deal with. It does have a big brain though and that leaves lots of room for "tinkering" minds. Maybe one day someone will "crack the codes" to some of the limiting parameters (like the FICM, etc) and we'll see some real performance numbers out of the Powerstrokes. ![]() Amp |
