I'm no mechanic, but I would have stayed away from it. Less than 5k miles ago, the replaced a bunch of equipment, including head and gaskets. They must not have treated it that well to already need that kinda work. I'd be leary of buying someone else's headache. But on the flip side, it was just done, and as long as you baby it, it's probably gonna be ok for a while. I'm sure one of the techs will chime in soon.

It does look like a lot of stuff done to it, but I wouldn't shy away just because of a lot of work. Mine's had a lot of the same things done to them, but what concerns me is that there aren't a lot of miles between the work. I would assume that the techs might be guessing what the problem was. If they got it worked out, great and you still have some engine warranty. Lots of folks on this site can help you make it rock solid.

for that truck, I would jump all over an extended warranty.

Yeah, the factory extended warranty would be a good idea. The aftermarket extended warranty aren't worth the paper they are written on.

Things that seem kinda strange to me are in 700 miles they put on 2 thermostats. and I do see that on the second one they also installed the water pump??" Maybe that is protocall.
In 1700 miles they installed 2 water pumps.
In 1200 miles they installed a turbo chr-exh drive. I think that the mechanics that are working on it might be some of the poorly trained mechanics that are changing things multiple times that do not need to be changed and are the ones that are giving the 6.0 the bad rep. I think I would try to bring it to another shop if you have any issues with it. Good Luck with it and enjoy your new truck. JJ
