to muffler delete, or not to muffler delete, that is the qustion!

ok first off ive been stalkin around here for awhile now, never posted , love the form, an my wife hates it, ok anywho heres my qustion i recently purchased a mbrp 4'' cat bact , now i been readin an what not on here an im wonderin if i should dump the muffler an just put a delete pipe there, now since this is a afftermarket muffler would i see better results with it gone? i mean i imagine its gonna sound better,but would it make a noticable diffrance? any input would be apreciated

i apreciate the input, now i hear some ppl talkin about back pressure, is this just somethin ppl say cause they dont know any better, an also what has yall experiance been i mean what have you noticed since youve done this mod

Mine has run fine had no problem with backpressure I know of plenty of other ppl who have lost there Kitty so I would loose it and let your truck breath a lil better oh yeah and Welcome to the ORG ! ! !

ok heres one more qustion, i could prob check myself but i dont feel like goin outside, will i need to cut an portion of the downpipe, infact will i need to get a new downpipe or will the delete pipe fit over my stock pipe, an is there a sensor on my cat? i appreciate all help

delete ur kitty and muff and youll be hearing ur turbo sing, u might be able to smoke, and your exhaust will be much louder. If you keep your kitty and drop the muff ur not going to smoke but u'll have a deeper sound. If you keep them both...then u'll have to find something else to do on that boring saturday

*thats my take on it - some people would argue some of that...but thats my from my understanding and experiences

I just found this post sorry I couldnt respond sooner. The CAT delete pipe will fit your stock down pipe. The only thing is that you will have to go to your local home depo. and buy two new bolts because, the delete pipe doesnt come with new ones. My take on getting rid of the muffler is what your looking for. If you want a loud sound then go for it. If your looking for alittle grunt but nothing over aggressive in the cab keep the muffler. Also check the muffler if your truck seems alittle quiet, you might have put it in backwords.
