dealer update

my truck hasn't been to a dealer in adout a year.the last program they put in keeps the injectors running for about 1min after shut down.my brothers has newer update his injector run less some one told him that you get more power with this update.any one else heard of this?what does a dealer charge to do the update? (now longer on warranty)

go get the newest reflash. With it the injectors make no noise....it uses what they call inductive heat stratagy to prevent cold weather problems....and the newest update was about 90% more effective than the one you have at keeping cold start problems from happening

I 've not have had any cold start problems -23c and not pluged in started on the third try(first 2 trys with the auto start).

I have the new update and they also replaced the EGR valve. My truck (F350) runs better that it did new!! Way more power, I would say the update done this not the EGR valve. But I may be wrong.

would this update help my mileage out to after the update and a new turbo my mileage went down

Others have said that miliage was down with the update. On the lie-o-meter reset at say 55 and a steady cruise, mine is about the same as before. Now on paper I really cant say because of winter and warm up idling.

before I had those problems. I had the edge attude with the edge I use to get 800+ kms out of 150L/38gal tank. now I get maybe 600kms.that 800kms was with the factory filter and now using AFE filter. any ideas on how to get my milage back
