2005 F250 100k Miles

Hello,

I'm going to be looking at a 2005 F250 PSD Fx4. It has 92k miles. Comes with off road package and towing package. It doesn't have leather.

I'm worried about having a truck with nearly 100k miles. Is there anything to look out for when looking at this truck? What would a truck like this be worth if everything was in good condition?

Thanks!

My truck has 50K miles and no engine problems. Tranny is a different story. I would offer $25K if the body was in good condition but thats my opionon.

if you post up the VIN number you might be able to get a oasis report run on it before you buy it

I've never bought a used car from a private party so what kind of place could I bring the truck to inspect it?

Carfax came clean but it looks like the car was only serviced at
6,012 miles
29,038
80,051
87,282
and 91,060 miles.

call your local Ford dealer, if you have a good relationship w/ the service dept. he shouldn't mind running an oasis. You can find the same truck w/ half those miles for 25k. I wouldn't pay over the very low 20's.

his asking price is 21.5 but the 92k is what is worrying me. I cant afford a 25k car. but i also look at it as it may cost me more to have a 20k car over a 25k car.

If it's a crew cab XLT 4x4, then that's a pretty good price. A standard cab XL or something wouldn't be worth that much. The 5R110 is a pretty reliable auto, except for 2005F250's(The forum member, not the truck). LOL

If it shifts well and doesn't seem ragged out, it probably has many miles left.

its an cc fx4 but the only downside is no leather, and its a bench in the front. I really wanted captains chairs and a center console. Are there places to buy parts and replace the front seats?
