lookin for a truck

first of all, i wanna congratulate you on having a great site. i have been reading here a few months and finally joined as my truck search has gotten serious. i wanted to ask... what's the majority opinion on oasis reports? is it better to have one with a lot of items that have fixed and addressed or a clean one where there is no history? also, the head bolt issue... will ford replace them before failure? i am looking at 05 and 06 models but really haven't found the right one yet.

thanks
brian

Welcome to Powerstroke.org! Well it depends on the issues that the truck had really. If you looking for an 05 or 06 those are better years to look at then the earlier 6.0's A clean one is great also! Well they won't replace as far as I know until they stretch and you blow a headgasket. Im pretty sure the 06's have better headstuds then prior years.

Oasis reports I think are great, they tell you the warrany and repair history. It will also tell you if the truck is still under warranty or has a clear title. Look on trucktrader.com , there are thousands of trucks w/ super low prices if you dont mind driving to pick it up. I just found a 05 F-250 in VA and bought it a week ago, found the truck on truck trader in about 10 minutes of searching.
I also was watching trucks on Ebay.

Once you become a premium member you will have access to the premium member section on the forum. There is a subsection just for oasis reports. Just have to supply your vin and it usually is run within a couple of days for you.
