best boost hose route??
hello all,
new here to the org and ive been searching up and down for the best install guidelines for a boost/pyro gauge setup, and diesel manor's instructions covered everything but a route for the boost line. it is my understanding that the line needs to be kept from the heat. i was planning on running the line to the map sensor line on the passenger side firewall and using a vacuum line tee fitting, or would it be easier to drill and tap the intake elbow like diesel manor's recommendation? thanks for any advice |

You can drill and tap the elbow, its quick and easy and works good, and if you go with the map sensor just tie your line up to the cowl, or firewall

Drilling and tapping the intake elbow only took me about 15 minutes. That is including removing and putting it back on. I ran the boost gauge line straight back to the cowl and then hid it under the plastic on the cowl and ran it over to the hole in the firewall by the hydroboost unit.

thanks for the input...that is what i had figured, but in case there was something i had missed looking into under the hood. installed autometer's GS series gauges with no problems, will throw pics up when the camera is recharged. and like mentioned tapping critical parts isnt as bad as it sounds while looking at posts and thinking about it. thanks again to diesel manor for the detailed instructions!
