Will a sct be enuff to beat a tundra?
I have a friend with a new tundra 5.7 crew cab 2wd. I can get him until around 60 mph then he comes around me. He has a muffler with a turndown everything else stock. I have a 05 crew cab FX4 with straight stock exhaust and the zoodad mod I plan on getting a sct mon. Will that be enuff to stay in front or will he still get me before the 1/4 mile? I'm leaning toward DJ's Loony toon about what times should I excpect? I'm at sea level

You should be smoking him then, (black smoke)

yah youll be able to take him but you need a set of gauges first or the Livewire before you run any extreme tune like that

Have you ever ran yours in the 1/4? About how fast should I be now? I've been trying to get to the track but it seems like if I'm not working its raining.

My truck with just an SCT and exhaust has ran a 8.96 in the 1/8th mile, I don't have a local 1/4 mile track. But I'm not really getting a boosted launch because I'm only 2wd. Although I don't think a 1.89 60' is all that bad.

yeah the SCT will take care of him easily. I think any of the canned tunes would allow you to finish him! A buddy of mine just beat one of those "new" tundras with his 05 cummins with only smarty jr haha. Have fun!
